Feminist Foreign Policy

November 2, 2015

The Swedish Foreign Minister, Margot Wallström’s, decision in 2015 on not prolong Sweden’s military cooperation deal with Saudi Arabia sparked a heated discussion about foreign policy, showing that the political choices of Western countries might either promote human rights (and the rights of women in particular) or facilitate armed conflicts (and the spread of gender-based violence). What does a feminist foreign policy look like?

Expert Panel:

  • Annick Wibben, WILPF Academic Network
  • Madeleine Rees, WILPF Secretary General
  • Ghazal Rahmanpanah, WILPF’s Women, Peace and Security programme

The webinar took place on 2 November 2015.
