Congress Resolution on National Action Plans

The Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF), meeting at the Quadrennial Congress in Santa Cruz, Bolivia on 21-27 July 2007,

WILPF supports West Papuan independence and calls on the United Nations Secretary General to thoroughly investigate reports on human rights violations and to initiate a review of the UN’s conduct in relation to the Act of Free Choice in West Papua in 1969.

WILPF also calls on the Republic of Indonesia to ensure access to West Papua by foreign journalists.
