Women, Peace and Security in Nigeria

This shadow report was submitted to the 67th CEDAW Session (July 2017) and draws attention to specific obstacles hindering the effective implementation of the UN Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security in Nigeria. This is a submission by WILPF Nigeria made jointly with seven other Nigerian NGOs: Arike Foundation, Dorothy Njemanze Foundation, Federation of Muslim Women Association of Nigeria, Initiative for Sustainable Peace, West Africa Network for Peacebuilding, Women’s Right Advancement and Protection Alternative, Women for Skill Acquisition Development and Leadership Organisation.
