Activist Toolkit for the HLPF taking place 10-19 July 2017
WILPF’s Women, Peace and Security programme has created an activist toolkit to use during the UN High Level Political Forum 2017 on the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (the SDGs). The toolkit gives you the online resources necessary to create attention on the need to strengthen and mobilise women-led local initiatives if the SDGs are to become more than fluffy promises before 2030.

Weapons, War and Women in the MENA Region (ARABIC AND ENGLISH)
This toolkit seeks to analyse the flow of arms into countries in conflict, particularly Iraq, Libya, Syria and Yemen, and underscore how they impact the lives of civilians and women disproportionately. Although many other resources highlight the impact that arms transfers have on civilians during conflict, this toolkit gives particular emphasis on the gendered dimensions of arms transfer that regularly goes unnoticed. It also provides the foundation for local and international activists and NGOs to conduct advocacy around the use and transfer of arms in the MENA region and raise awareness around gendered impacts that militarization has.

Localising the Women, Peace and Security Agenda
In preparation and in honor of the 15th Anniversary of the Adoption of UNSCR 1325 and the Women, Peace and Security Agenda, PeaceWomen has created an advocacy toolkit in order to provide WILPF Sections and Partners with the advocacy resources necessary to engage with local and national governments, civil society, and the media in order to mobilise pressure on member States and donor countries to turn commitments into action.
