Campaign: “Reduce Human Suffering”
Monday 11 September, 8:00am (TBC), Broken Chair
Campaign stunt organised by Control Arms and Amnesty International.
Campaigners will “deliver” a life-size postcard to the CSP with the message “Reduce Human Suffering” on behalf of all those affected by armed violence around the world. The postcard will be presented to the United Nations near the Broken Chair, and to the CSP delegates as they arrive to the conference.
*Note that this will be followed by a daily postcard action featuring the handout of a postcard from a conflict affected country (Yemen, South Sudan, Honduras, Papua New Guinea, and Jamaica) to delegates as they enter the plenary room. The postcard will show how those countries looked before conflict or armed violence destroyed them.
