Hello to WILPF Branch Contacts! October 2007
This branch mailing, as always is full of resources for your branch to use in local actions. As we engage in this period of transition and strategic planning, we are coming from the framework of “watering the seeds of WILPF”. WILPF branches are the lifeblood of WILPF and we hope that these resources assist you in your work.

The good we secure for ourselves is precarious and uncertain until it is secured for all of us and incorporated into our common life.

Hello to WILPF Branch Contacts! August 2007
It has been an incredible summer! Thanks to all the members, branches and supporters who participated in the wide range of activities WILPF National sponsored, all while keeping busy with the amazing work happening at a branch level. Summers are usually a bit of a down time for organizing work, but not this year! It was busy from start to finish.

"If we conserved our resources better, fighting over them would not then occur...so, protecting the global environment is directly related to securing peace...those of us who understand the complex concept of the environment have the burden to act. We must not tire, we must not give up, we must persist."
Wangari Maathai
Hello to WILPF Branch Contacts! April 2007
The materials in this mailing will be valuable to your work. The Save the Water Campaign has developed a pledge to Boycott Bottled Water and a petition to the United Nations to pass a binding convention on Water as a Human Right. Asking for a signature is a great way to engage passers-by in conversation and commitment, and helps to build your branch.
Save the Water is also campaigning to Stop Fast Track , the trade negotiation policy that allows trade deals like NAFTA and CAFTA to slide through the White House without public oversight. Fast Track is up for renewal on June 30th, and the included postcard is the first of many tactics in this ongoing campaign. For more postcards, simply call the office.

Hello Branch Contacts! June, 2006
We are pleased to send you the Summer 2006 Program Update. This packet has information on victories we must celebrate, like the passage of Measure T in Humboldt County, protecting citizens rights over corporations, and the cancellation of the Divine Strake Nuclear Test at the Nevada test site, both of which WILPF members played key roles in winning.

Hello to WILPF Branch Contacts! January 2006
Here is your copy of the winter/spring program update, also known as the branch mailing. Thanks to all who filled out evaluations! As a result of your comments, we in the WILPF office tried to make this mailing a little more “user friendly”. We used plain white paper instead of colored [for ease in photocopying], and tried to scale back the content a bit. There is so much happening right now in WILPF, however, that reducing the number of pages by too much was simply impossible! So, while it may take it bit of time to read through it all, you are certainly encouraged to do so. Please make sure to copy all or most of the pages for your branch members as well.

"Another world is not only possible, she is on her way. On a quiet day, I can hear her breathing."
Arundhati Roy
Hello Branch Leaders! October 2005
There is a storm brewing. Literally….Hurricane Rita is gaining speed as I write this letter to you. New information on Katrina surfaces every day, information that further implicates the U.S. Government in the devastation. Global Warming is still somehow “debatable”.
The storm that I am referring to, however, is blowing a gale into the sails of the movement for peace and justice. People are angry, confused, and anxious to do something. By the time you get this mailing, thousands of people will have converged in Washington D.C. on September 24 to shut down the war and bring the troops home now. Cindy Sheehan has worked her way into our nation’s consciousness and created quite the media frenzy in the process. And WILPF members from all over the country are agitating, aggravating and getting ready to plunge into the fall, full speed ahead.
