[WCUSP] ALERT--Benny Morris --"Using Bombs to Stave Off Wars"

Benny Morris an Israeli historian on Friday June 18 wrote an oped
peace in the New York times entitled" Using Bombs to stave off War.".

He was one of the historian earlier who forced Israel to confront it's
role in the displacement of thousand of Palestinians but now in this
recent article he advocates bombing Iran back into the pre-historic
age, it can run shivers into your spine!

It is ironic that the Israelis who have an arsenal of 200 or more
nuclear bombs and will not enter the Nuclear Non Proliferation Treaty
(NPT) advocate for no other nations to have any nuclear weapons, it
reflects the role of the US as well.  Because of their aggressive
postures, pre-emptive strikes, they are now inducing many other non
nuclear nations into acquiring nuclear weapons to defend themselves,
they raising the possibility.

I think we should advocate a campaign of letters to the New York Times
and our local newspapers it is time to press the debate on a Middle
East Nuclear Weapon Free Zone, linked with general disarmament and
mutual security, for a world free of nuclear weapons.

Medea Benjamin was speaking about it on Free Speech TV, where is WILPF?
