Dear AUPHR supporters-

Dennis Kucinich sent a letter to Secretary of State
Condoleezza Rice  
urging the U.S. to pressure Israel to end its blockade
of Gaza.  In  
the letter he stated, “Threatening the public health
of 1.5 million  
people is not an effective or lawful means to ensure
the security of  
Israel.  Collective punishment will not stop the
rocket fire; it only  
creates a questionable “balance” of suffering on both
sides of the
  
border."   Eleven members of congress signed their
names to this  
important and sharply worded letter.  Unfortunately,
NONE of the  
representatives from Oregon or Washington signed on to
this letter.  
Please call your representative today and demand an
end to the siege  
of Gaza and demand to find out why they did not sign
on to this  
letter.  Please let AUPHR know of any responses. (You
can send email  
to info at auphr.org).
