Hi all,

The Boulder branch had a successful meeting with their congressional
representatives and I wanted to make sure other WILPFers working on the
WCUSP campaign could hear from their experience and hopefully share tips
for meeting with legislators.

Hi Kate--I wanted to thank you for your help in mobilizing us to meet
with the staff of Senator Salazar and Rep. Udall using the WILPF
statement. We used it loosely, although I used certain points quite
pointedly!

We had good interviews, and are planting seeds, these rep's don't
oftenhear the WILPF and peace with justice perspective. We plan to meet
withthe three people who are going to run for Mark Udall's seat this winter.

We are also going to host a talk (we hope!) and book signing for
Menachem Klein who was a citizen negotiator for the Geneva Initiative.
His book is A Possible Peace--- We are really finding much information
and meaning in the WILPF study guide. I am attaching the agenda we used
for both Salazar and Udall staff meetings on the Middle East.

I have been gratified that our WILPF branch is able in our own small way
to mobilize.
Best, AMP Anne Marie Pois pois at colorado.edu
