share your concerns that unexploded munitions post a grave threat to
innocent civilians in war-torn regions of the world. I understand your
views.



 Senator Feinstein (D-C.A.), has recently introduced legislation that
would limit the sale of cluster bombs to countries that agree not to
use them in civilian areas and ensure they are used against only
clearly defined military targets. The intent of the legislation is to
greatly reduce the threat cluster munitions currently pose to
civilians. This bill is currently pending before the Senate Foreign
Relations Committee. If this bill comes to the Senate floor for
consideration, I will be sure to keep your strong views in mind.
