[WCUSP] RAHL: Gender, War and Militarism Conference

Thanks for sending this, Yvonne. It seems to me that WILPF in Philadelphia
should have some invovlement in this if possible. This fits very well into
the WILPF Peace Women program at the UN, which focuses on gender issues and
1325. We don't focus on this much in our DISARM committee -- we're too
involved in the "hard" issues like WMD, military budget, mil-corp
conneXion, etc. -- but could legitimately include this approach if any U.S.
WILPF members are interested. The Human Rights committee is also dealing
with some of these issues as it works on CEDAW and SCR 1325.

October is far enough away to do some planning. Is anyone in touch with the
conference organizers?
