Hi all,

A long, fascinating article appeared in the March 2007 Monthly Review, "Israel in the U.S. Empire."  For those of you who like to delve into Middle East history, this is very rich.  The author is Bashir Abu-Manneh who I had never heard of before.  There's a lot to learn and consider from the article.  But what I appreciate most is the author's fresh look at the Israel-U.S. relationship and how colonialism and imperialism are seldom included in academic discussions of the issue.  And how they must be.
