[WCUSP] Article: Prominent Israeli and Palestinian Women ... Initiate New Middle East Peace Negotiations

This has been in the work for a long time
looking at the list of women. Some of them
were already together part of a pannel in
a conference organized by Bat Shalom and the
Jerusalem Center 4 or 5 years ago.

Every years in European conference Israeli
and Palestinian women present joint statements
there are the only one doing that, it is so frustrating
that despite the enormous work they are doing
it very rarely makes the news.

In the La Hague Appeal for peace there was a
Middle East pannel by Israelis and Palestinian women  on Engendering
Peace in the Middle east. I may have a tape of it. There was also a
strong presence from Seeds
of Peace.

UN Resolution 1325 helped advanced the work and
make it more visible.It is in our program. We should
encourage branches to have meeting on  Middle
East peace inviting women to create ties and statements together also in the US.
