Great news! Welcome Catia! How I wish I could have heard your talk.
Anythng in writing?
Great to have you involved in the WCUSP campaign. A wonderful addition.
Thanks so much, C.J., and glad you are also getting invovled in the LA
Branch. L A WILPF shall rise again!
Catia, I still work on disarmament, relevant international law and the
"woman's budget" as when we met previously, but lurk on the edges of the
WCUSP campaign because the issues are so relevant and interwoven with our
DISARM concerns. DISARM is no longer a WILPF campaign but a very active
committee, and Kristin Dedmon, the young WILPFer you met that that LA WILPF
helped send to the NPT in New York, is still on our DISARM leadership
team. Kristin and I were both sorry nothing worked out for contact with
students at your mutual university. (Southern California? I get confused on
the name.)
I just got back form the IEC meeting in London. I wish the entire WCUSP
team could have been there. Of course the Middle East was a major focal
issue and wonderful women form Palestine, Israel and Lebanon were all there
working with the rest of us on our common goals. I hope WCUSP and our WATER
campaigns can really send a small delegation to the Middle East, and
especially to Lebanon to discuss the war for water there.
