Acknowledging that readers across the globe have diverse interests, international magazines often publish different covers according to region. This week, Newsweek editors featured a story on the resurgence of the Taliban in Afghanistan for readers in Europe, Latin America, and Asia. The US version, however, led with a more hard-hitting piece.a photo spread of celebrity photographer Annie Liebovitz. In their blog, Passport, the baffled editors of Foreign Policy magazine ask, "I know that naked, pregnant Demi Moore photo moved issues back in the day. But really. On the cover? Over the Taliban?"
