[WCUSP] My response to everything

Hi all,

I've decided to stop trying to respond to all the email about what to do and how. I'm going ahead with the issues I feel strongly about and an Action Alert that the Leadership Team has agreed to.

* I just finished the Action Alert to all members regarding denial of entry to the U.S. of a number of Muslim scholars. No reasons given.by U.S. authorities. You should receive it ASAP.

* Our local branch M.E. committee has begun an organized, concentrated campaign to get letters to the Phila. Inquirer. New members are involved. It's a project I initiated and will follow through on.

* Locally, Mary Day and I have reached local Tikkun, Jewish Voice for Peace, American-Arab Anti Discrimination Committee and Black Radical Congress. They have agreed to be part of a delegation to see our Congressperson during this recess about restoring aid to the Palestinians. We'll see if we can see him.

* I hope to begin, later this year, a serious paper on the role of U.S. corporations in Israel and Palestine.

What I'm saying, is that I'm going ahead on these positive things. While being appreciative of all the discussion, I'm doing what I feel must be done to challenge U.S. policy. These are things that no other groups are doing, to my knowledge.

And, for those of you who are not aware of it -- I have resigned from the Leadership Team of the M.E. Campaign. I just feel I need to follow my own passion and drive. I plan to continue my activities within WILPF.

Libby
