As a reminder, the guidelines for the program update are below.

If you have submitted something to Kate that is longer than the word limits
listed below, please ask for that to be posted to your portion of the
website and resubmit something that is blurb length.

Thank you,
C.J.

Hi everyone - sorry this got lost in my email. I sent it to Kate and Tamara
for review, but it never got posted for y'all.

Program Update Guidelines
The purpose of the Program Update is to provide an easy-to-digest taste of
our program work. All longer form updates should be forwarded to Kate for
inclusion in your committee / campaign's part of the website.

(There is a separate protocol for Website Updates, but the important thing
to remember is that Each of You can Update wilpf.org! I highly encourage it!
While Carol is the only one with direct access to the website, nothing on
our site should be static. I encourage you to change your page at least once
a month. You can also post to the WILPF blog. I can forward the protocol for
that to anyone who is interested.)

We want to entice people to get involved, so please try to stick by these
guidelines.

75 word limit for issue committees
100 word limit for campaigns

Emphasis (in this order):
*how a branch / at large member could get involved
*major events coming up in the next 2 weeks
*recap of major actions from the last 2 weeks

Photos accepted. (Captions appreciated.)

Campaign/Committee Update is due the first and third Thursday of the month.
Program Update will be published on the first and third Friday of the month.

Campaigns are highly encouraged to participate in every update. It is
understandable that our issue committees may not participate in each update.
As much as possible, we will stick to this schedule - which means that if
you don't get your update in by Thursday, it probably wont be in the update.
We'll try to check our work to make sure nothing is inadvertently left out.

Please remember that our vision for these updates is to communicate to the
wider activist community - beginning with WILPF members who have no idea
what your acronyms are or what you've been doing for the last 6 months / 6
years.

Feel free to discuss these guidelines. Perhaps we could take them for a
trial run before making any definite decisions?

in justice,
c.j.
