Dear Friend,
I just signed a petition asking for the recall of a video game that teaches religious intolerance to young players.
The game, "Left Behind: Eternal Forces" is set in Manhattan; the enemy is the Global Community Peacekeepers led by the Anti-christ. The good guys are the Tribulation Forces, left behind when their fellow fundamentalist Christians are beamed up in the "Rapture." To win, the Tribulation side must convert "non-believers" -- Jews, Muslims, and, arguably, many Christians. Their weapons are prayer and, for those who resist conversion, assorted armaments including humvees and tanks.
I encourage you to take a moment to learn more about the campaign against this dangerous game, which is rated for teenagers, and to sign the petition. Please click here.
The petition for a recall of the Left Behind video game is a campaign of JewsOnFirst.org, which defends the First Amendment, and CrossWalk America, a progressive Christian organization.
Thanks and best wishes,
