[WCUSP] Peace not Apartheid

Dear all, I feel as I have already said that not
addressing ex President Carter's book is not being
where so many people are. I find it cowardly to not
talk about the issue even if  we think differently, it
won't go away. It is on the main media including "Meet
the Press" last Sunday where page 215 of the book was
on the screen, the page that I wrote to you all in an
e-mail, where Carter writes why it is apartheid. We
need to have courage to talk about difficult subjects
and be called names. Names don't kill people,
starvation, bombs and guns do. Death on both sides is
disturbing but cannot be compared because the Israeli 
occupation of Palestine is the problem and not talking
about how  this occupation is devastating the
possibility of a viable Palestinian State so sometime
in the future there will be no possibility if the
situation continues. How can Gilit, the kidnapped
Israeli soldier have a chance of release when so much 
violence, pain and destruction are going on. Yvonne
