Please note that we cannot hold a tabling reservation without payment.

NEW BUSINESS PROPOSAL ON-LINE

Due to a technical glitch, we posted a third business proposal to the
website after the previous email. You can view all the business
proposals on-line in the conference documents section of our
conference web page. Member groups are encouraged to discuss these
proposals before the conference and empower their voting delegates.
Also posted in this section are the annual report and other documents
for the conference.

FREE HOUSING NOW AVAILABLE

A special thanks to the Gabriel Richard Center for providing
conference attendees with a free place to stay. The center is
on-campus and has kitchen and bathroom facilities (no showers).
People staying at the center will be provided with showers at the
homes of local volunteers. People wishing to stay at the center
should bring a sleeping bag. Check out the housing board for more
details on this and other housing opportunities.

STEERING COMMITTEE NOMINATIONS

The Steering Committee of the US Campaign is the highest
decision-making body of the coalition between annual national
conferences. It is composed of twelve people who serve three-year
terms in their individual capacities. This year voting delegates will
elect four new members of the Steering Committee for three-year terms
and one to fill the remaining two years of a vacated position.

The US Campaign is now accepting nominations to the Steering Committee
and will do so through the first day of the conference. Nominees must
be representatives of a member organization or an individual member of
the US Campaign in good standing.

To submit a Steering Committee nomination, click here.

MEMBER ORGANIZATIONS IN GOOD STANDING

Member organizations in good standing are eligible to submit business
proposals, receive voting rights, and to run candidates for the
Steering Committee at the US Campaign conference, in accordance with
the Organizational Rules.

Organizations in good standing are those that have paid membership
dues for 2006. Membership dues for organizations are set at between
$100-$1,000 or more, depending on the size and budget of the
organization. The US Campaign leaves it up to the discretion of the
organization to decide on the level of its membership dues, but
encourages groups to make the most generous contribution possible to
help us continue our collective work.

Thank you to member organizations that have recently renewed dues or
are in the process of doing so. Your organization will be added to
the list of member groups in good standing as soon as the dues are
received.
