Why YOU should get involved with WILPF!

When you become a member of the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF), you are joining the first international peace organization founded by women in the world. WILPF was organized in Europe in 1915 at the Hague during World War I, and its effect on public policy over the past 89 years has been enormous. In our society, where the root causes of constant international and domestic crises are hard to grasp, WILPF offers analysis and a quick way to join with others in taking action.

We have sections in 37 countries as well as branches and groups in 100 communities in the United States. If you are yearning for an organization working on both international and domestic issues, with the capability to provide the tools you need for reflection and joint action, then we invite you to join us.

With our International Office in Geneva, and our United Nations office in New York City, we are a global network of grassroots activist members that works to create peace and justice from the community level to the international level.

Membership entitles you to a subscription to our magazine Peace & Freedom.   If you didn't get your copy, please call the national office at 215-563-7110.

Membership means you can be as active as you want to be. You can be a active in your local branch. Or, if there is no branch in your community, we will help you get one started. You can be a part of any of our National Campaign Committees where the program and direction of WILPF's work is created. You can become involved in all of WILPF's delegations to the United Nations, to Washington, D.C., and participate in many activities such as regional gatherings, national & international conferences. Please explore the menu on the left to learn more about WILPF. The first step to getting involved is to JOIN!
